SOUTĚŽNÍ PŘEHLÍDKA STUDENTSKÝCH A DOKTORSKÝCH PRACÍ FST 2007 Methods and Software Support for Optimal Management of Parallel Simulation Manufacturing Models

The main goal of this work is to develop the software management solution for the manufacturing models suitable for COTS (Commercial off The Shelf) ARENA execution and management and to generate the methodology for design, development and validation processes of similar solutions based on parallel or distributed simulation (especially HLA – High Level Architecture). We can use experiences from the cooperation with the Italian university in Genoa on project WILD (Web Integrated Logistic Development) where the management software solution for distributed simulation was already been made. The new software implementation must be connected to program ARENA and must manage more the same simulation models with different parameters started on more work stations. Once the client program starts it has to connect to remote servers able to communicate and with ARENA installed. Now we can send the model and configuration files to the remote hosts (the same model and different configuration). We can remotely manage the previously executed simulation during the simulation process. The obtained data-mined data can represent previously not seen dependencies. The results can be analyzed and the 3D visualization can be prepared for future optimization.
